Simple and sexy summer

I apologize in the delay of my post but without further ado......

Lets get Summer time ready.  These are a few tricks I've learned to keeping it simple and sexy durning the summer.

Bikini Season is almost here ladies and we all know staying bikini groomed can be somewhat of a challenge.  I'm going to share with you my bikini season secrets to keeping it simple while keeping you looking sexy.

I like shave secret shave oil, cost about $3.00 at wa-lmart, you find it by the men's shaving creams.  It comes in a little bottle about the size of an eye drop bottle. Apply this according to directions then apply a small amount of EOS shave cream for a close smooth bikini area shave.  The next morning use Bikini zone after shave gel, This is great for keeping those horrible not so sexy razor bump and ingrown hairs away.  Apply this once or twice per day till its time to shave again.  TIP:  At night instead of using the gel apply a lotion instead.

For your sexy summer style I've found an amazing website that holds sales for a limited amount of time on almost everything.  Clothes and shoes for women and children, baby gear, maternity, home decore, kitchen items and much more.  The prices especially on the clothes are simply amazing and clothes very stylish and chic for every style and woman.  The site you ask?   zuilily.com
I'm addicted!!!

It's that season again ladies, that's right sandal season. Don't have time to go to the Salon for a pedicure, I have a quick fix to keeping those beautiful feet soft and sandal ready.
In the shower use a pumice stone on heels and rough/dry areas.  Next apply a exfoliating treatment to your feet.  Once out the shower and dry apply a foot lotion/cream.  My lotion pick is Curel'.  Apply lotion morning and nite to keep feet soft and sandal ready

Aprons and Stiletto's

Aprons and Stiletto's

Throw on a sexy apron with those stilettos and get ready to speed through a quick kitchen clean up
Did I just say put on a apron?  Why yes I did, how else are you going to keep that sexy body clean?

Yes like the rest of you I'm a pintrest addict.  These two awesome tips come from..... you got it.  Pintrest.

I'm sure everyones microwave looks like an explosion went off in it, and if it doesn't well i'm sure at one point it did and probably will again.

Pour 2 cups water and 2 tablespoon white vinegar into a microwave safe bowl.  Microwave for 5 minutes.  When done carefully take out bowl and glass microwave tray as they will be hot.  Wipe down  inside of microwave with damp cloth.  You'll think you have a brand new Microwave.  Whoever discovered this is brilliant.  Now you have a beautifully clean microwave keeping your food clean as well and leaving you beautiful and sexy inside as well. (I did this about 2-3 months ago and it's still sparkly white.)

I like most people have a stainless steal kitchen sink and if its dingy and dull it drives me insane.  Here's a quick trick that will make it shine just like that diamond on your finger.

Wipe down sink with dish soap and water to wipe away the ick.  Next spring baking soda over the bottom of sink and using either a sponge or rag make a paste and wipe. To get the edges on top of the sink you can use a toothbrush.  Rinse and pat bottom of sink dry.  Line bottom of sink with paper towels, and soak with white vinegar.  Let sit for 20-30 mins.  Remove paper towels, wipe down one last time with dish soap and wha-laa you have a beautiful sparkling sink.  To prevent build of water stains of the faucet wipe down with wax paper.  Tip put paper towels in a grocery bag and throw them out so your house doesn't begin to smell sour.

Your friends will think you spent forever keeping your kitchen clean, giving you more time to keep it simple and sexy.
A wonderful thing about these two tips is your house doesn't smell like vinegar afterwards.

Just a little note:
I have fixed my settings for my blog so anyone can comment on my post. I would love to hear from you guys and your thoughts.  Like what I'm posting? ........ share my blog with friends, family co-workers etc.

Till next time,

Keep in simple and sexy,

xo

Cooking in Six Inch Stilettos! What am I talking about?

Cooking in Six in Stilettos! What am I talking about?

I have 4 recipes that are so easy, you can wear your stilettos while doing it.
I love recipes that are low maintenance.  The less time I spend cooking, the more time I can spend with family and tend to more entertaining things.  (Hint, Hint)  Prep time is minimum as wells as cooking and monitoring.  One of these is so good, my six year old eats it everyday until its gone.
1-Beef/Turkey Black Bean Chili
2-Mile High Taco Bake
3-Tater Bake
4-Peanut Butter cookies with Peanut butter cups

Beef/Turkey Black Bean Chili:

1lb Ground Beef( the leanest you can find, I like wal-mart they carry 98% lean)
1 lb Ground Turkey
2 cans Black Beans
1 15 oz can Tomato sauce
32 oz. Tomato Juice

Cook beef and turkey down and season to your liking, I use just a little salt, pepper and italian seasoning.  Once browned add beans, tomato sauce and tomato juice. Cook on medium heat for about 30 mins stirring occasionally.  Lower heat and cook another 30 mins stirring occasionally.

Time to hit up Victoria Secret Ladies because this recipe is weight watchers friendly without loosing the great taste!  Your waist line will thank you as will your significant other.

Mile high taco bake:

2 lb. leanest ground meat you can find(I like wal-mart they carry 98% lean)
1 16 oz can reduced fat old el paso refried beans
8 large tortillas
shredded cheese
2 envelopes Taco seasoning of choice ( I use Taco Bell)

cook down ground meat then add taco seasoning as directed on package
set aside when done, warm beans in microwave(this makes them easier to work with)
if you have a round pan large enough you can use that or it also works just fine layering on a cookie sheet, it doesn't run or fall apart. Lay down first tortilla, spread thin layer of beans to about 1 inch from edge, spread with layer of ground beef on top of bean. Remember you do need to stretch it and a little goes a long way. top with shredded cheese(amount depends on you) and another tortilla.  Continue this process until you run out of meat, just remember to save some meat and cheese for the very top.
Bake at 350 for 20 mins.

my 6 year old absolutely loves this, and insists eating it every night until its gone.
________________________________________________________________________________

Tater Bake:

1 lb Ground Beef (I always get the leanest meat I can)
water
tomato paste
1 envelope sloppy joe mix
6 cups frozen tater tots
1 4 oz can mushroom stems and pieces
3 1/2 cups frozen cut green beans
1 cup Shredded cheese

Cook down meat, add water and sloppy joe seasoning, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 3-5 min.,  add tomato paste and stir, then add green beans and mushrooms.  Transfer to a 13x9 greased baking dish.  Top with Tater tots and cheese, bake at 350 for 30 mins

Peanut Butter Cup cookies:

1 roll refrigerated peanut butter cookie dough
miniature cupcake tins
miniature reesee's peanut butter cups

Line mini cup cake pan with mini cup cake tins.  Roll dough into 1 inch size balls, bake as directed on package, as soon as they come out the oven press peanut butter cups into cookies, allow to cool.
these are super addictive. I had to make 2 batches for christmas just to be able to give some as gifts and this was using the family size roll of dough and almost 2 bags or peanut butter cups per batch. Original recipe called for homemade cookie dough.  But we all know I opt for the quick and easy method when at all possible.

Till next time,

Keep it simple and sexy

As the Holidays come to a end our duty of cleaning begins and our search for bargains.  Todays post includes some cleaning tips and beauty/health and cold products that cost less that the department store brands and expensive you need to show your license at the pharmacy to buy it products.

I'll start with health/cold:
Many of us get hit with that horrible sinus problem.  If you're like me you live with it and live on prescription sinus meds and nose spray to keep the pain and pressure at bay.  But there are those times where even the prescription isn't enough and for me the only thing that works is Claritin D.  That gets expensive not to mention you can only get it once a month because you must show your license to get it and they monitor your frequency.  Well I found something way cheaper at Wal-Mart that does the trick and you don't have to trade your first born for it.  The product is made by Quality Plus, it's called Sinus Congestion and Pain: pain reliever, Nasal decongestant.  There is a Daytime non drowsy formula and Night time formula.  Plus side it cost .88 cents per box, down side only 6 doses come in the box.  One dose in the morning maybe another if needed at night and I'm good to go with usually no problem during the day and no sinus pain and pressure.  I'm a huge fan and a happy camper, I highly recommend it!

Beauty/Health:
Now on to the fun stuff.  First I'll start with every woman's routine-cleanse, tone and moisturize.  I used to be a clinic girl, then I started selling beauty control and used their products of which I hight recommend.  For me it just got too expensive and not budget friendly I felt like I was going through it way to fast.  The time came for me to go on the search for a everyday budget friendly swap.  My find:
Olay!!!   I use the Foaming face wash for Combination/Oily skin,  cost $4.97, it last me a month or more. I use that one at night in the morning I use the Acne Control Face Wash, cost $6.97.  For toner Olay Oil Minimizing Tone, cost $4.97 and for moisturizer Olay Complete All Day Normal UV Moisturizer SPF 15, cost $6.67.  All products last me about a month or more, treat my skin great and are very pocket book friendly. I  Highly recommend

Cleaning Tips and Tricks:
I'm safe to assume most women like myself HATE cleaning, but if I must clean then I'm going to kick butt at it.
First up, Lysol Dual Action Wipes: These are awesome.  They clean just about anything surface, table's, sinks, counter tops, walls, door, etc.  You get the point.  Cost: $2.48 for 35 count and $4.63 for 75 count.  Positive is they work great, not sure if there is down side, they aren't overly expensive but you can find yourself going through them quickly.

Mr. Clean Erasers:
Whoever invented these is a genius.  I've used the regular ones, the bathroom ones and the extra power ones.  These little sponges are amazing.  They remove most dirt from any surface.  From finger prints, crayon to dirty counter tops they get the job done and last for a decent amount of time. They range for a two pack for $2.67-$3.67.  I haven't really found a negative yet only positive!

Rust: if you get rust in your tub from shaving cream can's there is two fixes for this.  One is a rust remover to remover the rust marks. Two is if you get a soap dish and place the metal cans in it on the side of the tub you won't need to worry about rust on your tub, only downside is you will need to dump the water out of it occasionally.

Tubs/Showers: Using a tub spray along with a Mr. Clean Eraser really cuts through the soap scum and leaves you with a beautiful shiny white surface that last a while until it's once again time to do your favorite chore.

Thats all I have for now.  I hope that these tips and suggestions are of help to you and you find them just as great as I do.

Until next time,

Happy New Year and please let me know if these blogs help you

I love quick and easy ways to cook, clean and get things done around the house.  Who doesn't right? We all want a short cut so we can spend less time cooking and cleaning and more time doing what we enjoy.   I enjoy sharing all my finds and tips with others. You never know when they may come in handy and help someone out. I want to share the things I've learned, found and also products that are just simply amazing and are must trys....at least once. I'm sure there are many other blogs out there like this. But I decided to put my own spin on it. I hope that my tips help you out and you enjoy reading.

My find of the week is EOS shaving cream. This stuff leaves your legs feeling amazing. It contains shea butter, conditioning oils and vitamins C and E.  I discoved it in Women's Health Magazine and was very curious when the article said that it moisturized so well you didn't even need to apply lotion afterwards.
I found it at walgreens for about $3.50.  The down side is it doesn't lather, but the plus side is you get a nice close shave and your legs feel super smooth, even the next day.  I'm definitly hooked, especially in the dry winter months.

Till next time,

Sandy
